Adrienne W. Scott
Adrienne W. Scott, M.D., FASRS, is an associate professor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where she serves as the inaugural Frederick M. Leader Professor of Ophthalmology. She completed her ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal surgery fellowship training at the Duke University Eye Center, and medical school at the Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Scott is the medical director of the Wilmer Bel Air satellite clinic, and she is the immediate past Wilmer Retina Fellowship training program director. Dr. Scott serves on the Executive Board of the American Society of Retina Specialists as the Fellowship Director Section Chair. Dr. Scott currently also serves as the JAMA Ophthalmology Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Editor. Dr. Scott’s clinical research focuses on vitreoretinal diseases, with an emphasis on sickle cell retinopathy and its relationship to systemic sickle cell disease, retinal imaging, and health disparities in eye care.
